What was I expecting from visiting Henry Ford museum? Of course I expected a fascinating collection of vintage cars and machinery but I found much more. Among the thoughtfully laid out displays is the story of American progress, innovations and enterprise. In the Museum you can see not only the story the automobile in the evolution of American life but also exhibits of agriculture, clockwork, home arts, communications, industry, jewelry, and much more.
You can easily spend the day exploring the many interesting displays and still not see everything. There are some exhibits that you just must see. First of all you should see the world-famous collection of automobiles. There’s the only existing 1896 Duryea Motor Wagon, which was the first production car in , five presidential Limousines (from Theodore Roosevelt to John F. Kennedy. Another interesting exhibit is called “Heroes of the Sky” it will tell you about the early pioneers of aviation. You can’t avoid visiting “Dymaxion House” – a visionary architecture of R. Buckminster Fuller.
I was also impressed with the antique bicycle with 10 seats. It was interesting to see the test tube with Thomas Edison’s last breath and the seat in which Abraham Lincoln was sitting when he was shot. Take a personal tour through “the house of future”. This extraordinary dwelling was designed to be the strongest, lightest and most cost-effective housing ever built. Definitely, you will not get bored in the Henry Ford Museum. The Henry Ford Museum is located in Dearborn, Michigan. Henry Ford founded the museum in 1929.
